In the tourism sector, video is not just a communication tool.
It's a lever of desire. A well-turned image of a flight over Burgundy vineyards is better than any textual description. It was precisely this conviction that guided the production of the corporate film of France Montgolfières, entrusted to Herblot Productions, an audiovisual production company based in Bordeaux. We explain how we accompanied our client to highlight the experience they offer their clients.
France Montgolfières: a pioneer who has nothing to prove but everything to show
With over 35 years of experience, France Montgolfières is the first balloon flight operator in France.
A leadership position that imposes a certain requirement in how to present itself to the world.
Here, nothing is left to chance: flight preparation, continuous training of teams, rigorous control of equipment, constant attention to passengers.
The company even moves its fleet towards eco-polyester balloons, reducing its gas consumption by up to 20%.
For the launch of their brand new website, France Montgolfières needed a video to match this position: an immersive welcome video, able to make feel the experience of a flight before the spectator even laid his foot in a basket.
Here's the result:
The project: making the customer experience of a flight feel
The command was clear: show the entire experience, from customer reception to the glass of friendship that closes each flight.
A complete visual narrative that accompanies the viewer at each stage:
- Arrival and reception of passengers
- Ball preparation and inflation
- Flight
- The flight over emblematic French landscapes
- Landing
- Folding the hot air balloon
- The glass of friendship
In parallel, the order also included production of pictures for various communication media. In particular, the website, social networks, flyers and press releases of France Montgolfières.

Our approach: listening, advice, adaptation, result
From the beginning, we took the time to understand the real stakes of France Montgolfières.
Behind the video control, there were three very specific objectives: value a customer experience high-end, reassure on the Security and professionalism of the team, and especially Make you want to book a flight.
On this basis, we advised France Montgolfières on several strategic aspects.
The choice of the most emblematic filming sites among their 19 flight sites, the narrative unfolding of the film, and the types of shots to be preferred, both on the ground and by drone, to capture both the human dimension and beauty of the territories.
A multi-site shooting is also a complex logistics.
The weather conditions of balloon flight leave little room for error.
Flight slots are wind-dependent, and morning golden light does not forgive delays. Our ability to adjust in real time, without ever compromising the quality of rendering or customer planning, was crucial to the success of this project.

Four sites, four atmospheres
Of the 19 flight sites operated by France Montgolfières on French territory, four were selected for their evocative power and landscape diversity:
The Château de Chenonceaux — jewel of the Loire, its gardens and its reflections in the Cher offer a breathtaking setting for the morning flight plans.
The forest of Fontainebleau — a wild setting less than an hour from Paris, where the balloon cuts off on a sea of crowns.
The vineyards of Burgundy — the quintessence of the French landscape, between rows of vines and stone villages, which perfectly illustrates the alliance between gastronomy, terroir and aerial experience.
Forcalquier, in Provence — mountain reliefs and Mediterranean lights bring a more mineral and contemplative tone to the film.
Four atmospheres, four different ways to experience the balloon experience. A diversity that enriches the film and faithfully reflects France Montgolfières' proposal: flights throughout France, in the country's most beautiful territories.
But then, why didn't you shoot more places?
The purpose of the video is to show the diversity of the territories where our client operates.
We had to respect the budget for this production and contain the film duration less than 2 minutes.
That's why we have advised to our client to choose these locations that are different from each other and represent several French regions.

Why Corporate Film Is Essential in Tourism
In the tourism sector, the booking decision is first emotional. Before buying an experiment, we need to represent it, to feel it.
The corporate film responds exactly to this need by creating what texts and photos cannot always accomplish alone: an immersion.
For an activity provider like France Montgolfières, it is also a reinsurance tool.
Show the care taken in the preparation of flights, the smile of pilots and teammates, the precision of folding the ball. These are signals of confidence that speak directly to future passengers who question safety.
Finally, a professional quality film is reused on many media: website, social networks, advertising campaigns, trade shows, press releases.
It's an investment our client made for his image.
